Red White and Blue Ameraucana Rooster. He is one of the pure bred sires of my Amerileg Flock this year. The girls are laying lovely green eggs right now. You can have them for hatching or for eating and they can be shipped all over the country. This cross is being used to increase the size and number of green eggs. My customers were very anxious last year, to try the green eggs so this year, I should have more for all of those who did not get their green eggs last year! We will be selling eggs at the Barre and Arlington Farmers Market starting in May. Also on the truck will be chicken compost, home spun yarns from neighborly sheep in my area, and large, bantam and duck eggs. Come to the market!
Little brown ducks, known for their incredible laying ability, are now available this Spring.

I though that Robins came in the Sping but this is January 25th!
I will pretend it is Spring and be happy! Lambs will be born soon and
hatching eggs will stop being too frozen to set. These Robins are lucky that the apples stayed on the trees and are providing them with a nutritious snack. Happy Spring!

Last of the season for us. Next show is in January, 2009. A rest sounds really good right now. Lots of plans for next year’s breeding program with dreams of superior birds in the future! Huge fat tails, bright shiny silkie feathers, perfect round crests , long foot feathers, deep maroon combs, and bright black eyes.
I would like to see a colored silkie on champion row!

Just wanted to let you know that the Cochins are going great. This weekend we went to a show and I decided to replace one of my hens and cockerels with ones that I bought from you. I used the hen that you put in the cage at the Syracuse show. Well anyway, they were entered into the Jr. show for my son. This show has a lot of Jr. entries every year. The hen took Champion Asiatic and went on to also take Champion Jr. Large Fowl. She was on champion row. The cockerel took Reserve Champion Asiatic. My son received a big trophy for the hen. He is so happy. I will send pictures when I download them onto the computer.
